Often wakes past thinking it smelt gorgeous!Visited this week and I loved it.Fresh soup and and a sandwich deal. Amazing value for money.Soup was delicious, served piping hot and perfectly seasoned.Made to order sandwich was made with care, not thrown together. Tasted fresh and well balanced.Nice terraced area to sit and people watch in the sunshine. Loved it View all feedback.
What Helen F doesn't like about Philpotts:
I bought a cup of fresh soup feom here priced at £2.85. It was supposed to be chicken leek but I was very disappointed as there was only about 5 small pieces of chicken in the whole cup. There is a huge profit markup to be made in homemade soup so I expected a bit more substance for my £2.85. Will think twice about going back View all feedback.
Bought a over priced cold jacket potatoe for lunch. No gloves worn, so handling food with her bare hands. Picking up the jacket potatoe (proves how cold it was) and the salad with her fingers. The salad looked like it had been left out all day uncovered. Paid £4.80 for it go straight in the bin. Really should have refused it. My mistake, will not be going back again!!!
Great visit. Just nipped in for a coffee but ended up getting breakfast as the food looked so good and was of a very reasonable price. Incredibly welcoming staff!
Good food reasonable prices lots of choice of both hot cold food would recommend ....and would return when in Liverpool next time
