We visited this pub before and after our Theatre visit. We were made welcome by the staff. In particular one young man called Reece! He was friendly, welcoming and assisted us with our choice of Ales! Great pub with a great atmosphere and vibe. Thanks to Reece (the long haired scouser) we will definitely be going back again on our next visit!!! View all feedback.
What chrisb doesn't like about Dr. Duncan's:
So we arrived as the pub opened, it was absolutely freezing inside, surely their heating should come on before doors open. Tried to order 3 coffees becos of the cold but their machine wasn't working, so had a bottle of wine, then about half an hour later so around 1pm went to order food and was told that the chef had popped out to the bank and wouldn't be back for 40minutes!!! Needless to say we left and doubt we wil... View all feedback.
Love this pub. it is as if you step back in time. so glad that they have received the whole french, etc. a small jewel.
Good range of real ales. Take a look at the room to the far right as go in beautiful architecture
This is one of the finest traditional pubs in liverpool with a real athletic pub feel. That said it was built as an insurance office but still had that cosy feel of a traditional pub. Always with a great choice of ale and once again owned by the same company as Cains ales which now returned
WORST MUSIC EVER. The staff were playing the most depressing hipster music I’ve ever heard.
It was 22:30 and Barman wouldn't serve me despite other people being served at time. Usually have no problem being served here. Really unhappy with attitude.
