Despite arriving a... read more Turtle Grove is a hidden gem in the northwest that offers a warm atmosphere as soon as you step out of your car and breathe in the fresh air. Despite arriving at 5:00 on a Sunday during the busy August long weekend, we were immediately greeted and seated. The restaurant has a cozy feel, with winter photos of local street signs decorating the walls. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and we were impressed with the crab-filled mushrooms and spinach artichoke dip appetizers. The house-made pita chips were a standout. Our burger and chicken sandwich were delicious and came with a generous portion of fresh and tasty fries. The Paralyzer drink was substantial and flavorful. The portions were so large that we had to pack half of our meal to take home. Despite being busy, our food arrived quickly and was prepared perfectly. We will definitely be returning to Turtle Grove, as it is worth the trip. P.S. They also offer a selection of unique cocktails and ice cream flavors.

I ordered the steak dinner special... read more We drove over 35 minutes for our Anniversary dinner with my family. Arrived early only to wait over 1.5 hours for our meals. I ordered the steak dinner special and asked for medium rare. My wife and parents ordered Veal Cutlets. The Owner/Manager walked by...and said something like this isn’t McDonalds you know. We patiently continued to wait. When our meals finally arrived my steak was cooked Well Done. My wife’s and parents veal cutlets were also over cooked. The very polite young waitress felt bad about my steak and returned it promptly and returned a short time later with another. It too, was well done! The Owner manager handled the payment. She asked how our meals were and we told her they were over cooked. She promptly replied, “Well it looks like you ate them anyways”. I told her that my steak was returned and it came back over cooked a second time. And I also mentioned I had ordered at 10oz steak and it was 5oz at best. She went on to say that it was their busiest day of the year. I would have thought they would be at their best on the busiest day of the year instead of complaining to their guests about business. We will NOT BE BACK! Too bad as we were looking forward to a nice meal.

Although I didn't receive what I had originally ordered, I still received a discount on my meal. Overall, the dining experience was not good and I do not plan on returning.
