If you've never heard of a Vampire Taco, you're not alone. I hadn't heard of the creation till friends in the area continued to rave about it, so I had to try. Maybe it was the nearly 30 minutes it took to get our order and being filled with chips salsa but I'm not sure if the taco lived up to the buildup. The vampire taco's distinguishing feature is the cheese that's usually laid on top, is pan fried and lines the shell of the taco. They were good but I'm not sure if I'd drive an hour again for one of these unique and tasty tacos. I have to add that the single person staffing the register was very friendly and apologized for the extended wait for our food. It's definitely worth the stop if you're passing through Live Oak or Gridley!

Been here 50 times. Always very good. I order the same thing every time.... grilled fish. This time they served it deep fried. A commented that I ordered grilled, and the server argued with me... And I left him a 30% tip to boot (I tipped before I get my dinner) Oh well. There are plenty of really good Mexican places in town. I will support them instead. when a server argues with me.... it's time to go.
