Contribute Feedback What Suzanne Roux likes about Bar Brasserie Le Village:
We were warmly welcomed for an impromptu lunch for 6 people. Very nice and attentive waitress to our patient needs, it was not easy with a child in the early ages). The sumptuous meal and excellent content, with homemade fries to accompany burgers and very good crêpes to copy. Even for sweet pancakes, we enjoyed it. A big thank you to the chef for his kindness and excellent cuisine. I highly recommend you move. View all feedback.

Nous nous sommes arretés à cet endroit visiblement fréquentés par des habitués, mais avons été fort bien accueillis.Les plats sont simples mais très correct et a prix plus que raisonnable
This restaurant is situated right in the center of the town, The food is fine & tasty, prices right, just come with lots if patience. Livarot is a small town and the restaurant is not large, meaning that the meals are not prepared in advance and therefore be prepared to wait a bit. As can be expected, the cuisine is local and traditional, meaning that there are lots of regional cheeses (and what could possible be bad about French cheeses!). Personally give me a platter of French cheeses and a fresh baguette and I'm very satisfied, though of course the eatery has carnivore dishes as well. BTW, when we were there we saw a couple come in with a beautiful German Shepard, which means that the eatery is dog friendly. They also have WIFI.
We wanted somewhere to have lunch. Although the man behind the bar spoke only French we were able to ask for the plate of the day menu that was a starter from a buffet style counter , then steak and chips and salad. We like our steak blue and it came out with a little Plastic blue cow marker on it. It was very tasty and tender. This was followed with cheese then we had the Tarte Pomme for desert. They did have a big selection of deserts but we decided on this one as it is a regional one and was very tasty. There was a bottle of water on the table and French bread. The service was a little slow ,however we were not in a rush and it was very busy. The meal we had was 13.50 euros each and we thought that was reasonable. The tourist information had suggested it and told us how to find it. It is near their office.
Avoid, Just people getting drunk! We were not served! Just a very bad experience! I would not recommend to anyone!
