I felt I had to say something because the negative critics here have no idea what they're talking about. Every new restaurant will have kinks to work in the first weeks. What Jewell Crona doesn't like about Casey's Bbq:
My family used to eat at the original regularly. The new restaurant isn't quite as good as I remembered, but it just opened, so I'll be back and rereview it once it has a chance to work out the kinks... I had the sliced beef, it was a large portion of moist beef with a good smoke ring. The BBQ sauce is unique to Casey's, it's a vinagery red sauce (imagine a BBQ rub mixed with vinager). This is one of the best BBQ shops in Little Rock. They are pressed hard to find better cut beef or ribs in the area. All their sides are fantastic, especially the Slav and sweet potatoes. Yes, the ordering process is somewhat slow and deorganized, but they will get it out. Just rest. By the way, if you don't want their delicious Bbq sauce on the meat, ask for it on the side. Crazy how it works.

Not your normal Little Rock BBQ sauce (sweet and tomato). They have a nice dining room and a deck out back. Definitely worth a try!
We have Casey 's often on Reservoir Rd. before they closed and we found a new love, Whole Hog. This was our first visit as they were reopened to Cantrell, Tanglewood area. It was delicious. I bought two plates and we didn't eat all of them. Huge portions of well cooked 'salamander' frits, perfect okra, good home made (or how) light Cole Slav. The chopped Pork BBQ was tasty, finely chopped, juicy (or slightly greasy), with a thinner, vinegar sauce. Very good, but we really couldn't compare ourselves to the old Casey 's. We're coming back
Large portions, courtesy and helpful staff and clean restaurant. I only had the pulled pork that was good so I can't say much about the food except it was served piping hot. I'm not a big fan of the sauce, but it's pretty embarrassing. Regrettably, return and try some of the other bbq offers and a burger.
This is a new location for this restaurant, it is obvious that they still work out the bends. In addition, the BBQ experience was moderate. I think the pig was better than the beef. We ordered every half pound, along with pints from sides. Beans, potato salad, Cole Slav and some sweet potatoes. They offered two kinds of sauces, a vinegar base and one that was a little sweeter. It was okay, I'll go back later to see if the kinks were worked out and they let themselves in. Just good people.
