we had a great light eating (as dinner) during the celebration, what a hidden gem this. I was a little skeptical about the vegan gluten-free food, but it was really delicious (and healthy) next to eating they sell all kinds of healthy products. recommended: ice cream. View all feedback.
What Eladio Davis doesn't like about The Island Jar:
I often pick up lunch at the Island Jar. The wraps, salads, soups and smoothies are great. However, I have noticed in the past few months that there has really been a decline in the customer service long waits to get a wrap I 've waited about 20 minutes for example, or am never greeted or approached with a simple hello while wandering around the store staff members can be seen on their phones, on a laptop, or just ge... This was the best tasting, most flavourful vegan wrap I have ever had. Every component complemented the other surprising me with each bite. Please put out a cookbook. ??
Yummy food, grocery and local gifty selection. Hard to choose lunch, everything sounded so good! We had powel bowls in the end... very accommodating putting vegan cheese on one. We came back later to buy roadtrip snacks (muffins) and lattes. We are docking 1 star becuase the order was screwed up a couple of times... although in the end, we liked the non-order snack too. Overall though, lovely place to grab food. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, great location down on the main street by the water in Little Current.
I may drive from my hometown to The Island Jar just to have another hummus and veggie sandwich. Vegan, gluten free AND delicious? Plus the staff is friendly and kind. 10/10
My sister in law wanted me to try the quesadilla’s, and I have to say; 5 stars. I’ll definitely be purchasing it when I am there. It goes so good with the salsa. I also have to mention that the ladies who work there are extremely nice and helpful.
We enjoyed our stop in at the Island Jar, while in Little Current.
