Chives American Grill - Lititz

My wife and I hadn't been there since the restaurant got renovated and we were very pleasantly surprised. The ambiance has been modernized a bit while maintaining the historic charm of the building. The big windows give it an air of openness and a nice view of Main St. Lighting was good too. Not to dark, not too bright, and soft. Service was casual yet formal, but not stuffy (good balance). Food was as good as it's always been.

Service was great but we didn't like the special of the day, Shrimp Scampi, something about it was really bad, I've had shrimp scampi many times and it never tasted like that. The waitress did take it off our bill but the one bite I had made me feel sick the rest of the night. Redemption was their dessert, the sticky toffee pudding is my absolute favorite dessert anywhere and the peach creme brûlée was quite good also.

Unless you like crazy-busy and noisy and you like placing your own order at the bar, skip going to the pub and reserve a table in the dining room. The menu is the same and the experience is muuuuuuch better. We had the best time.

Totally pleased. Although it was a very busy pre-Christmas lunch time, service was superb and food arrived at our table in reasonable time. Food presentation, quality, and taste were very pleasing. Outstanding value overall. We 're asking- when can we go there again .

Hadn't been here in a long while. Dining room is now very attractive. Service was friendly and efficient. Had a gourmet grilled cheese and tomato soup lunch which was delicious. Companion had the veggie tika masala and thought it excellent. Not too spicy, but flavorful.
