Fishhawk Bagels - Lithia
Fishhawk Bagels
Description
This charming Fish Hawk bagel shop delivers standout New York–style bagels, inventive cream cheeses, lox, donuts and smoothies from a clean open kitchen with friendly, fast staff and a convenient drive-through. Flavors and hygiene impress, prices feel fair, and it’s ideal for commuters, families and visitors. However, portion sizes and service can be inconsistent, breakfast sandwiches sometimes disappoint, and limited weekend hours leave room for improvement. A must-stop for bagel lovers, with tweaks to consistency and hours recommended.

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time since I'm new to Fish Hawk and still exploring American cuisine. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't very helpful in suggesting menu options. Their responses to my questions came across as somewhat negative, and although the restaurant wasn't busy, they seemed distracted. I've never encountered this level of service in other American establishments like Cracker Barrel. Consequently, I ended up ordering something I didn't enjoy. I really wish the staff had been more friendly and welcoming.
The food here is outstanding, but their operating hours definitely need improvement. Closing at 1 PM on Saturdays and Sundays seems unreasonable for a restaurant of this caliber. I would give them a much higher rating if they extended their hours.
I was let down by the breakfast sandwiches; they didn't quite meet my expectations. The eggs tasted like they were microwaved. While the staff was friendly, they were rather stingy with the cream cheese on the bagels. I tried this place three times, but sadly, I can't recommend it. I was hoping for something fantastic, but now I need to search for a better bagel shop in the area.
I was excited to see they offer a drive-thru. I was in a hurry, and they didn’t disappoint. Compared to other pricey spots I’ve visited, their prices felt very reasonable for two bagels and a large iced coffee. The everything bagel with chive cream cheese was delicious. I wish it had been cut in half, but that’s on me for not asking. My daughter enjoyed her cheese bagel with cream cheese. The iced coffee was good, though I expected coffee-flavored ice cubes. I’ll check out the full menu and plan to come back to try more.
Amazing water bagels! They’re soft inside with a perfect toasted exterior (if you like them toasted). I had the lox sandwich, which also comes with nova on a fully loaded sesame bagel. I went with the sundried tomato cream cheese—absolutely delicious. My husband had sausage, bacon, egg, and cheese on a cheddar cheese bagel with olive cream cheese—also fantastic. They also offer donuts on weekends, cookies, muffins, lunch sandwiches (all on bagels, of course), coffee, and other drinks. UPDATE: Returned for a second visit so my mom could enjoy our new discovery, and because we’re creatures of habit! We repeated our orders and tried the mango smoothie this time—it has a genuine fruit flavor, even though it’s made from concentrate. Move over Einstein Bagels, I’ve found a new favorite!
