First night we had a reservation and were looking forward to some Sushi etc. Yes, we had one sushi plate to share as starter and then were able to mix and match the offered menus. The food, asian and then not, very light, interesting spices and combinations. We were impressed how different asian food can taste. But the difference has a price but worth it. View all feedback.
We visited SYLT during a trip through Germany, Danmark, Poland, Czech and Austria. It was the first time for us to stay in this place and we found a free room in this new Hotel. We booked dinner and we liked the huge buffet and the variety of food. They made fresh food on two live cooking stations as well.

Great expectations can lead sometimes to even greater disappointments.First: service: a nice but incompetent waitress tried to lead us through the menu - when we asked questions, she had no answers. No competent wine recommendations. While we were still sitting at our table, the kitchen was frantically cleaning and the waiters were already setting tables for next day.Food: unremarkable seafood - this being Sylt, one would expect of one of the most renowned restaurants at the island an offering to match. Not in this case. Entrees including tuna sashimi were just average in both flavor and quality of produce. The main dishes were just as unremarkable - the exception being the lamb ragout. Desserts were equally uninspiring.Beverages: as already stated, wines were simply overpriced and not at a par with expectations. At 9€ the bottle of water was one of the costliest ever.To summarize: you'd be wiser if you go to a less pretentious, less expectation-laden restaurant elsewhere in List.
Not quite inexpensive but very worthwhile. Hotel Arosa in List. Wonderful location. Great service. Great ambience.
That wasn't perfect. The restaurant has a chic ambience. Take a good look at the concept. Staff are professionally very well trained to make a correct and fast service. Unfortunately something too impersonal. The food, was good. Quality and fashion of products top. You can feel the influences of Tim Raue in part. But! The name Tim Raue at the door makes the expectations very high. Unfortunately, the chefs are not able to implement them as much as Mr Raue hopes to do. The wow or ohh while enjoying it remains unfortunately. Good food under too much hope. The wines are well chosen. Unfortunately, in my eyes a little too expensive. Spices still has potential.
