The beer was the highlight, no... read more A missed opportunity to enjoy a great meal. We were looking forward to ending a demanding day with a superb dinner with the kids. The beer was the highlight, no complaints there. The meat was of good quality, but overshadowed by a chili/tabasco sauce and crushed pepper. Potato pancakes as a side would have been nice, but on their own, unfortunately not. The beef steak (as per the menu) was only a flank steak. Overcooked, dry, the girl refused to chew it. Perhaps the chef was having a bad day? I don't know... For a bill of 1000+ there are better restaurants in Hluboká.
