Magic Kitchen - Lisle
Magic Kitchen
Description
A neighborhood Chinese kitchen serving hearty, home‑style dishes with notable standouts—lo mein, mapo tofu, pork belly, potstickers and roast duck—alongside large portions and an extensive menu. Diners praise authentic flavors and takeout value, though opinions split on service and appetizers; some report rude staff, mixups and bland egg rolls while others commend warm, attentive owners. Pickup can run slow and a few sauces or textures feel uneven, but overall it’s a flavorful, casual spot worth trying for authentic, comforting meals.

The service at "The Boss" is the worst I have ever experienced at a restaurant. The staff, particularly the manager, was extremely rude and inconsiderate. They provided us with soy sauce instead of egg foo young sauce and had an unpleasant attitude, making it seem like we were to blame for the mistake. Additionally, their chicken egg rolls were subpar. I strongly recommend looking for other dining options.
A wonderful lunch special featuring delicious dishes. It's one of the rare spots that serve an authentic traditional Chinese menu as well.
This is the most amazing food I've ever tasted! I truly don't understand any negative reviews about this place. Their dishes are outstanding, and I've sampled similar cuisine from New York to Seattle. Having traveled extensively across America, I'm genuinely excited to have discovered such a tasty and authentic restaurant.
