Caffe Di Moda - Lisle

Took an Uber here only to find that the espresso machine wasn’t working. Since I came for the coffee I was disappointed. The barista was EXTREMELY helpful and gracious, offering pastries and refunds. Still, the breakfast sandwich I had was small, and only ok, and expensive. The pastries didn’t look particularly good. The coffee machine didn’t work. The vibe wasn’t particularly cozy; and it isn’t possible to tip with a card. I don’t think I’d go back.

I ordered the Chipotle Chicken and Bacon sandwich The aioli was tasty and the cheese was good, however the cubed chicken was quite dry and definitely overcooked. The bacon was alright and the bread was super soft, probably the best part.I also got the Oatmilk Honey Matcha Frappe which was pretty good. Could’ve definitely used more honey, though.Overall a 7/10, espresso machine was no functional unfortunately and I could not try their coffee. Judging by everything else I’d say it’s not bad.

Used to be good when it first opened. Service and food isn't good anymore. Store must have took a turn.

Their espresso is very tasty and I love their board with the question of the day.

The coffee is good, the desserts good, and the service has always been cordial.
