This is a family-run business, and while the staff wasn’t always around, everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, especially Damo and his lovely mother-in-law (sorry, we didn’t catch her name). They were both amazing! Nothing was too much trouble, and Damo was very accommodating with my vegan diet. All of our meals were delicious, but I particularly recommend the homemade pizzas – we even took some leftovers back to enjoy in our pod! The owners also provided great recommendations for places to visit. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic holiday. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you!
My family and I spent two nights in a cozy hobby house, and we had a wonderful time. The staff was incredibly helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. One night, we had a barbecue, and the other night we dined at the restaurant. The food was excellent, as was the selection of ales. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
Sayed once in Feb as a spare if the moment decision as had work in area,dropped a car in area so had no car for rest of stay... stayed in pod. Great value for money and a good breakfast. Walked around the area . Owner offered a lift a couple of days to station whicj was we greatfully accepted. Thanks. Stayed again March 23rd and brought the kids. Rented the chalet. Sleeps 6. Fantastic scenery, cooked on Bbq both days and had plenty of fun doing so. Your in the middle if nowhere but liskard not far. Your in the wilderness, enjoy it and get out amongst it. You will get muddy, dirty, wet, cold, sunny and fog. Live ya wild side. Have fun. If you want perfect 5 star stay in the hilton. Kids loved it. Will be back.
This is a place for walks, picturesque villages and breathtaking scenery. Wheal Tor has atmosphere to create a picnic mood you desire and a bar in which to cosy up at the end of a day exploring. Tiny little hobbit house, hot teas and a late night conversation with my loved ones... Thank you for making us feel welcome. We can't wait to return!!!
