We visited while on a tour bus and were pleased to find that the restaurant was well-prepared for our arrival. The smoked salmon was outstanding, and the Irish coffee was equally delightful. I highly recommend checking this place out!
I just enjoyed the best chowder I've ever had at this place. It was the perfect way to relax and refuel after spending a few hours exploring the Cliffs of Moher.
Good value, food was nice. Menu a little bit too small and not varied enough
Perfect to eat after visiting the cliffs of moher. Typical Irish food in a pub with solera. Perfect also to share a few beers in the evening. Fair prices.
Great little pub on the way to Cliffs of Moher. Great crowd. Good food.
This charming Irish pub near the Cliffs of Moher offers a true Irish experience but falls short on COVID safety measures. While the food received rave reviews, the Guinness quality was disappointing to some patrons. Despite some slow service, the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make a visit worthwhile. From fabulous seafood chowder to bangers and mash, the menu impresses, with a few unexpected American touches. The establishment is enjoyed by both locals and tourists, providing a taste of Ireland not to be missed, as long as you can overlook the lack of strict pandemic protocols.

Beautiful place - correct small Irish pub, it was very busy and service that we received was a little slow, e.g. 15 minutes only to get a menu (because it should get my own at the end), but eating was good, drinks were cold.
Fabulous food, visit ‘obligada’ if you come from seeing the cliffs of moher. the bathroom is a little clean, but the quality and quantity of food, do it without a doubt, deserving a visit.
I recently had Fish and Chips to which was delicious I must say. The staff were very helpful and friendly with smiles all around even though it was busy, I did find it welcoming. From the outside looking inside it doesn't look that big but was taken back by the beer garden outback, Child friendly , lots of space.
It tasted good and the service was friendly. However, it was a bit loud inside and there is (almost) no vegan food.
We are immersed here while we stayed next door for a few drinks. we were not disappointed,Guinness was delicious served by a friendly host hillary. the night was quiet and the food is not served for the foreseeable future. we enjoyed our night here and also chatted to some locals.

Was here on Friday 16/8 with the lovely Ursula, our three children, their spouses and our 9 grandchildren. The whole clan! We had booked in advance so they were ready for us. The service was spot on, great staff so welcoming to us. Food was fab and everyone was delighted including all the grandkids. Overall it was a lovely dining experience, mainly because it’s a blue moon for all of us to be together.
Really great traditional Irish pub which became a regular haunt for us whilst staying in the area. Loved the Guinness, the food (check out the bacon chop! and the atmosphere. Nice appearance inside and out too hopefully will be back someday.
Best seafood chowder we've ever had! Service brilliant, staff and locals so friendly. Very pleased we stumbled across this place! Would highly recommend if you're in the area.
This is a fantastic place for a drink and a bit of fun. The staff are always very friendly, and the locals are great too. I've had lunch here several times, and it's been really good with generous portions.
I went to McHugh’s tonight (5th Aug 2023) with my wife and son (15). My son loved the fish and chips he got good simple food. However my wife and I are vegetarians. The menu was limited to one thing, a “vegetarian curry”. This was truly awful I reckon I got one mushroom, one square inch of red pepper, two halves of one green bean one quarter of a piece of corn and a fifth of a carrot, all awash with McDonnell’s packet curry sauce (Irish readers will know what I mean but it ain’t good). It was really terrible. I left hungry. On top of this the service was invisible. We won’t be returning.
