The Cod Father - Lisburn

I ordered a small fish portion from this carry-out and was very disappointed with the quality. The chips were extremely hard and felt like shrapnel. It's been a while since I last visited this place and I couldn't believe how much the standards have slipped. Be careful not to break your teeth on the chips. Overall, very disappointing experience.

I don't even know where to begin. The staff seemed unhappy and completely unfriendly. The only time the server made eye contact was when I paid for the meal. The food was horrible and uneatable, the worst I have ever had from any takeout place. I definitely will not be returning.

The food at this restaurant is excellent and the staff are very efficient with taking orders. However, I believe they may charge an extra 5p for salt and vinegar, which seems a bit excessive.

Situated close to the busy Ballymacash Road roundabout this carry-out fish and chips shop opens from mid-morning to 9pm. It is busy but the menu is a mixed bag with many appetising dishes and a few disappointments. My wife finds the chips have no real taste and one of her favourites, cheesy chips, causes the problem that the cheese is spread on top of the chips and does not mix together.
