While researching I came across this place and it certainly did not disappoint. We weren’t extremely hungry so we just ordered one Bifana and one chocolate mousse. Probably the most famous sandwich shop in all of Portugal! We waited in line for an hour but it was worth it. The menu is modest. A few sandwiches and 2 desserts. Of course, we got the famous Bifana but also ordered a chocolate mousse. The Bifana was fabulous... slow cooked pork that is stewed for hours in a sauce filled with local spices (see video). The Pao (bread) is loaded with mounds of pork. You must add the mustard and chilli oil for a traditional Portuguese flavor. Fresh Pao, zesty and juicy meat on a sandwich is hard to beat! The mousse was average but was a nice finish after the spicy sandwich. Definitely a must do in Lisbon! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

It completely lived up to my expectations, and I would definitely return. The bifana itself had perfect chewy bread and with the meat it was heaven. The chocolate mousse was also delicious, and it was super light but not too sweet. I would definitely return! Service: Takeaway Meal type: Other Price per person: €1–5 Food: 5 Service: 5
I don't think I would ever tire of eating bifanas. If you love it a much as I do, this little shop is probably one of the better places in town to try it. The moment you enter, you smell the aroma of the pork stew bubbling away in the corner. Ordering is quick and the prep time for each bifana is equally swift. On site dining is strictly counter top both within and along the outside wall, but the popular option is to sit on nearby benches in the small adjacent plaza where you can enjoy both your bifana and Lisbon's wonderful weather. Underneath the crispy bun exterior is a soft bouncy interior with plenty of air pockets that are perfect for soaking up the drippings from the pork chunks. The pork itself is quite lean with a faint garlic and herb aroma. A very tasty and filing 4.5 stars Service: Takeaway Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: €1–5 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
