The sangria was mediocre at... read more Critical English Review (2/5) We ate here and were honestly disappointed. Overall, the experience deserves no more than 2 out of 5. The sangria was mediocre at best (3/5). The Spaghetti Bolognese was extremely bland, tasted very lean and lacked seasoning almost completely. My wife ordered the grill platter, I had bitoque with chicken and a fish soup. While the main dishes were just about acceptable, the fish soup was not good and cannot be recommended. What was especially disappointing: no desserts at all. No ice cream, no chocolate mousse, no Pastéis de Belém and not even a simple Pastel de Nata – which is quite surprising for a restaurant in this area. The espresso at the end was poor, around 2/5, and did not leave a good final impression. Overall, the food lacked flavor and attention to detail. A sangria foi apenas aceitável (3/5). O esparguete à bolonhesa era muito fraco, sem tempero e com um sabor demasiado simples. A minha esposa pediu o prato de grelhados, eu pedi bitoque com frango e uma sopa de peixe. Os pratos principais foram apenas razoáveis, mas a sopa de peixe foi má e não é recomendável. O mais negativo foi a ausência total de sobremesas: não havia gelado, mousse de chocolate, Pastéis de Belém nem sequer um Pastel de Nata, o que é bastante estranho. O expresso no final foi fraco, cerca de 2/5, deixando uma má impressão final. No geral, a comida faltou sabor e cuidado. Existem opções muito melhores na zona.

The Spaghetti Bolognese was very bland, almost completely unseasoned and tasted quite lean. My wife ordered the grilled platter, while I had bitoque with chicken and a fish soup. The main dishes were edible but unremarkable; however, the fish soup was disappointing and not worth ordering. A major letdown was the lack of desserts. There was no ice cream, no chocolate mousse, no Pastéis de Belém and not even a Pastel de Nata, which is unexpected for a restaurant in this location. The espresso was weak and tasteless, roughly 2 out of 5, leaving a poor final impression. Additionally, no receipt was provided, and the bill was settled without issuing a proper receipt, which was surprising and disappointing. Overall, the food lacked depth and flavor. Uninspiring and forgettable, with better alternatives nearby. ⸻ Avaliação em Português – Crítica (2/5) Jantámos neste restaurante e a experiência ficou aquém das expectativas. A sangria foi apenas mediana (3/5). O esparguete à bolonhesa era muito simples, praticamente sem tempero e com pouco sabor. A minha esposa pediu o prato grelhado, eu pedi bitoque com frango e uma sopa de peixe. Os pratos principais eram comestíveis, mas sem destaque; a sopa de peixe foi fraca e não compensa. Outro ponto negativo foi a total ausência de sobremesas. Não havia gelados, mousse de chocolate, Pastéis de Belém nem sequer um Pastel de Nata, algo inesperado para este tipo de restaurante. O expresso era fraco, cerca de 2/5, e fechou a refeição de forma negativa. Além disso, não foi entregue qualquer recibo, e o valor foi cobrado sem emissão de fatura/recibo, o que consideramos negativo. No geral, faltou sabor, cuidado e profissionalismo. Uma experiência esquecível, havendo opções melhores nas redondezas.

As this place was the only place where you didn’t have to cue to get a table and since we didn’t have much time left to head for the airport, we decided to give... read more As this place was the only place where you didn’t have to cue to get a table and since we didn’t have much time left to head for the airport, we decided to give it a go, as the waiter was pushing us to take place: he was aware of our short timeline and told us it was busy and we would probably have to wait half an hour, but that it would work out. We ordered a pizza and the roasted salmon. After an hour, the waiter came to us saying that the salmon was sold out. After which, we said it would be too late and we’d have to leave. He pushed us to stay as it would only take another 10 minutes for lunch (then two pizzas) to be served. After another half hour, and multiple people that arrived after us receiving their food, the waiter told us it would take just “a mere 5 minutes”. As we had to leave to the airport, with lunch not served after an hour and a half, we decided to cancel the order and leave. The waiter got rude, at which point he made us have the pizzas that, surprisingly were ready, as take-away, without any apologies whatsoever. The pizzas themselves weren’t all to bad altogether.

There are many restaurants nearby serving much better/more consistent seafood for the same price, though.
