A hidden gem with fine portuguese food, frequented by locals. Be happy if you get a free table and feel like a real lisboeta.
Where just passing by and decided to give it a try Perfect dorada and dolce de casa. Very local. Very good prices. Totally worth a visit.
We were at the Time Out Market which was supposed to be so great but we couldn’t bear how packed and overpriced it was! We walked out, headed away from the water and saw this place. Looked more local and less tourist so we went in. We shared a salad and one bacalau, plenty for us ! Kind service and very tasty food and a normal price. Happy to have found it. Try it if you can!

It may not look like much, but if you’re in the mood for a lot of food at a fraction of the price asked elsewhere nearby, this spot in Cais do Sodré won’t disappoint. The menu offers traditional Portuguese fare at very friendly prices, and for this reason, it’s popular with the locals. Join nearby construction workers, restaurant owners, policemen, and off-duty street cleaners for lunch at this tiny hole-in-the-wall. You won’t hear any language spoken other than Portuguese, which is in itself the best way to judge a place. The specials of the day are cooked to perfection, the sangria is made with care, and the servers, though old, are quite quick and always professional. Worth a stop for lunch at the least.
Very nice restaurant. Nice atmosphere, very good food, especially alheira (must try! nice staff, good location. If you want to have more intimate atmosphere, avoid we’ll known places around and make your experience here!

This was our fourth time enjoying lunch or dinner at Tinoco, and every visit reminds us why it’s a must-stop place whenever we’re in Lisboa. Tinoco has a welcoming, family-oriented vibe that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. The food is consistently outstanding – rich in flavor, beautifully prepared, and clearly made with care. The quality is top-notch, yet the prices are extremely reasonable, which makes it an exceptional value. What really sets Tinoco apart is its strong sense of community and warmth. You can tell it’s a local favorite, and the staff treat you like part of the family. Whether it’s your first time or your fourth (like us! , you’ll leave already planning your next visit. Highly recommend! Price per person: €5–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
