We couldn't get a reservation so took a chance on a walk-in around 7.00pm. Luckily we were offered the option of a table or seats at the counter. We took the option of the counter seats (2 furthest from the door is a recommendation) where we were able to watch the chefs at work. All of the staff were friendly and efficient and they were very accommodating with my intolerance to coriander. Wines were reasonably priced and the food was excellent, particularly the Pan con Tomate, Jamón Ibérico de Bellota and the Duck rice. Despite previous reviews, we thought the cost was reasonable in view of the quality and service.
One of my most anticipated spots in Lisbon — and a big disappointment. We stopped by for a walk-in lunch and tried the bacalhau à Brás and a few other dishes. Everything was just average — nothing stood out. The service was slow and inattentive, even though there weren’t many tables to serve. The food leaned more Spanish than Portuguese, and the fusion concept didn’t impress. Honestly, it felt overhyped and not worth the visit. Really regretted choosing this place. Totally recommended. I am glad I’ve tried Bacalhau a Bras, classical Portuguese dish. It’s an open kitchen and if you sit at the bar you can watch your meal being prepared. On the other hand, we’ve found the tables a bit more comfortable. Reservation is recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Nice atmosphere, the restaurant is quite small and there is often a long wait for a table (recommend making a reservation if possible . That being said, the Vermouth Bar faces outward so you can have a drink and an appetizer while waiting outside : The food was good I really loved the mushroom rice. Additionally the waiter was super friendly and welcoming. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–35 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
I am so happy that I waited for a table to come available, the meal was excellent. I had lunch, which was Octopus salad, and then Portugal's famous Bacalhau with a kind of tomato puree that was hidden under the succulent fish. I was tempted to go for a dessert, all of which seemed wonderful. I had the dark chocolate mousse. It was one of the best I have ever tasted. Will definitely return with a friend.
