Very small inside so make reservations in advance if you can. Definitely more tapas style, not huge portions, so make sure to order adequately for splitting/sharing. They bottle their house wine, which was a great price and delicious. They also do it by .5L in a jar, as well as sangria. Good wine/drink list. Great selection of small plates, hot and cold. I would suggest getting 3 5 dishes (including sides) for a couple at least. My husband and I ordered a bottle of the house red, then we got the octopus and the pica pau. Then we split the potatoes and greens. We could have probably had another 1 2 dishes since we were not super full (but we arrived pretty hungry). The pica pau had some pickled carrots cauliflower in it, oh my gosh it was so delicious, it really made the dish. The beef was also super tender. I loved the sauce. The octopus also had a ton of garlic, which was delicious. I think there was a language barrier when we were ordering, because our Portuguese is pretty bad. We thought we had also ordered a cod dish, but it never came out which is totally fine since we think it was our mistake. Overall everything was excellent and flavorful. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their restaurant. Super friendly and helpful as well. And great flavors. Would recommend!
Came across this restaurant by chance, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had the Steak taverna with roast potatoes, partner had the Bacalhau a bras and salad. We finished off with chocolate cake and a cheesecake dessert. All excellent taste. Also enjoyed a half carafe of the house white wine which is produced by the father of the owner. Having enjoyed the white wine, we decided to forgo a coffee and have a glass each of the house red, again very enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend having a meal in this restaurant.
A classy tavern situated on the business center of Lisbon with traditional portuguese dishes and affordable menus. For 15€ you get couverts (bread and olives), a soup, the main dish, water and a coffee. Drinks and desserts are on the side. It 's relatively cheap and the food is good. Getting a table on a weekday may prove difficult as they don 't take reservations and operate on a first come, first served system. All in all it 's a good place to eat some old school portuguese food for an affordable price. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €20–25 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
