Searching for local restaurant we read a review of this restaurant in the Washington Post, go figure. It did not disappoint. Wonderful wine by the glass, started with pate and a simple delicious bean dish. Since we ate fish most of the trip, my entree was pork cheeks in wine reduction and my wife had a beautiful sirloin which was rare and very tender. Desert was divine. The waiters professional, helpful and friendly. There were groups of men, couples, all local. exceptional dining to end a great trip of wonderful meals.

It is perfect for a quiet... read more Salsa Coentros Restaurant is located near the North Alvalade Market, away from the clutter of restaurants in other areas of the city. It is perfect for a quiet night without stress, or parking difficulties. The space is very clean, without major decorations, focusing on what they do best: cooking. We had a table in the basement because there were no tables available on the entrance floor. But the atmosphere was quite pleasant. I dared to ask for the tasting menu and was delighted, it was simply divine.
