We live out in the wilds, so on our (fairly frequent) trips to Lisbon we like to hunt down different restaurants to try. Hoping this would have food akin to what we enjoyed a few years ago in Goa, and being in the environs, we thought we 'd give this one a go. The service was slow and somewhat surly, but we persevered and were rewarded with excellent food very much reminiscent of the real thing hot but full of flavou... View all feedback.
What Natalia C doesn't like about Restaurante Nova Goa:
To begin with when we entered the restaurant the chef was very rude to us, it is good to keep in mind that this is not an Indian restaurant but only from Goa province! As the waiter suggested we ordered 6 dishes for 8 people everything was okay but the food was very normal nothing special, but when we got the bill they charged 24€ of things we didn't order, such as sauces each one 2€ we thought they were for free and... As the waiter suggested we ordered 6 dishes for 8 people everything was okay but the food was very normal nothing special, but when we got the bill they charged 24€ of things we didn't order, such as sauces each one 2€ we thought they were for free and they charged 5€ for the rice for the 2 extra people (6 dishes for 8 ppl) I found this not fair as they never asked us or tell us about this extra charge, so the chef came to talk to me in a very rude way! The thing I hated the most about this restaurant was the fact that they want to charge so much money undercover! 24€ is too much!
