Restaurante Beira-Gare - Lisboa

This is a great spot for a traditional fare. It is across from the beautiful Rossio train station. No glitz and glamour here but the food hits the mark. I recommend a cold octopus salad.

O mundo é seu, a felicidade também é. Não fique esperando, a felicidade vem da nossa própria busca. Se estiver disposto a acreditar, a felicidade estará esperando por você. Ao final de um cruzeiro, em Lisboa, capital de Portugal, descemos do navio e decidimos passar mais um dia na cidade. Depois de passear pela cidade, paramos em um restaurante em frente à estação de trem. Ao olhar mais de perto, descobrimos que o restaurante existe desde 1890, o que significa que deve ser bom para ter durado mais de cem anos. Pedimos o famoso prato de frutos do mar, que veio em uma porção enorme e deliciosa. As cascas dos camarões estavam muito saborosas, a fritura do peixe também merece elogios. Mesmo estando muito satisfeitas com o prato, mal conseguíamos andar de tão cheias. Depois desse jantar, nem jantamos no hotel, pois estávamos completamente satisfeitas. Provamos o pastel de nata, as castanhas assadas na rua e o famoso e barato café. Comemos e bebemos tudo o que pudemos antes de deixar Portugal de bom grado!

Solid inexpensive entrees and snacks outside the central train station. The staff are friendly and efficient. English menus available. Food taste is alright and portions are large. Draught beer is cheap. Come here to refuel in between your train journeys or before setting off for a day sight seeing.

I've been to this place for a long time when I remember. I love how busy the place is right in front of a railway station in one of the busiest parts of lissabon, and yet the staff is always friendly and friendly. the bifana a marinated pork sandwich served on soft rolls with lots of senf and piri piri sauce is the best in lisbon, and I often go for one (or two), whether alone, with the family or if a friend from the country comes visit lisbon. it's a must. I can't recommend enough.

Close to the train station. I ordered a Bifana and Prego in addition to 3 appetizers. The Bifana with mustard is really good. Can't see why people would a eat burger over a Bifana while in Portugal. Payment only in cash. For the items on the table, it came close to 20€, I believe they overcharged me but they refused to show me the details. You can eat inside only after showing your COVID pass.
