Food was just okay. Service good, as would be expected given we were the only two eating in the restaurant. Credit cards not accepted which required us to walk three blocks to ATM to retrieve cash to pay. Cannot recommend and will not be back. Owner was present and didn’t seem to care. Avoid.
We were supposed to eat in the pizzeria down the road but got a bad vibe from it – rude staff, no English menu and waited ages for service (even though it was empty), so we left and as we were looking in the window of Paquiderm the owner/waiter popped out and explained the menu to us, so we went inside. This turned out to be a very good decision! I had sea bream, which was filleted in front of me, with potatoes and veg, which was all very fresh and tasty (not drowning in olive oil like other dishes we’d had in Lisbon). And the dessert – a caramel flan – was out of this world. My husband had a huge portion of lamb cutlets, which he also enjoyed. The meal and house wine were great value – if we had been staying longer in Lisbon we definitely would have come back here again!
Nice and quiet place, good service, good food, and very affordable. I had gilt-head brim served with boiled broccoli, baby potatoes and asparagus. The waiter prepared the fish and removed all the bones in front of me.
