Was Anonym at Nico Grilo a mag?
Our last day in Portugal so we decided to stay at a hotel close by for our flight the next day. We wanted traditional Portuguese fare. I did a search for restaurants close by and picked Restaurant Nico Grilo. Called Uber to get to the restaurant. Since we had awesome seafood the last 10 days we wanted something else. What Anonym dislikes about Nico Grilo:
Local eatery, where focus is on barbecue meats. We had mix meat platter and we did not really like it, to be honest. Meat was greasy and very hard to bite, so maybe better option would be going for seafood instead. Appetizers and desserts were alright. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wine is incredibly cheap and good, must try for sure. It may be how locals like their meat to be prepared, yet for us it just didn... View all feedback.
Absolutely brilliant food! Chicken was marinated to perfection. The staff was friendly and spoke English. The french fries were gloriously golden.

We were welcomed and treated so wonderfully! The last thing is that it was so reasonably priced. Not expensive at all
We are staying at a hostel nearby and we are so glad we walked a little further to eat here. The owner was marvelous, food good, and he threw in two glass of his 20 year old port when I mentioned I was interested in ports.
My wife and I spent our last dinner here from our 2 week amazing holiday throughout Portugal . It was also my wife's birthday and this place was amazing. We ordered the Brazilian steak and the steak on hot rock. The meat was flavourful and the homemade chips were very tasty. We are foodies and please try surprised. We spoke with John the owner and his wife and they were very hospitable and treated my wife with ginju for her birthday. I would highly recommend this place.
