Waitstaff were friendly and helpful with what to order. Seafood is extremely fresh. The restaurant offers a wide variety of options. We really enjoyed the crab head that you use as a spread on bread. We went in January so the restaurant was very empty but I can imagine it getting packed during the summer since it’s located right next to the water. Cost is on the “pricier” side but I say that loosely because it’s pricey by Portugal standards. I’m from NY and prices at Monte Mar would be considered affordable compared to NY seafood restaurant costs.

But I understand: many tourists, and you can sell them all. However, the fish and seafood were really good, the wine is ok and not so overpriced, overall its recommendation, but note that some things on the menu are definitely not worth the price. Still a very nice dinner.
