My brother and I had a lovely dinner here on a Thursday night. We didn’t have a reservation but was able to get seated immediately around 9:30pm. The food was really good and the service extremely friendly, as it is run by an older husband and wife (Traducido por Google) Mi hermano y yo tuvimos una cena maravillosa aquí un jueves por la noche. Amazing food, great service. Totally recommend it if you want ti try local food and have a great experience!
Everything was excellent. We started with the sheep’s milk cheese appetizer—creamy deliciousness! I had the traditional codfish stew and my wife had the octopus in olive oil and wine. Again, amazing! The goat cheese with quince cake dessert was not on the online menu, but I would definitely recommend it, too! All in all, if we were staying longer in Lisbon, we would definitely return. Next time!
Sensational food, Sensational atmosphere, exceptional service. TRULY ! the best Lisbon has to offer Will not disappoint.
If you are looking for a true Portuguese experience, you should definitely book a table here. Everything here is perfect: food, service and atmosphere. It is really warm, welcoming, family restaurant, with Portuguese classics that you may know, but elevated and more delicious than anywhere else. Some of the recipes are actually family recipes and you can also get small story behind them, if you want to listen. If you are searching for typical, well known Portuguese dishes and drinks you will get them here in the best form ever. But if you want something not as much know, just ask and they will recommend you some really nice traditional things, that you most probably won’t be able to experience in more touristic places.

Make reservations in advance. Two reasons why. First, there is limited seating (I'd also like to add that this restaurant best suits couples or small groups . Second, the food is just great (and you know how quickly good news spreads ! Start with the beetroot strawberry gazpacho, it's just like a yummy nutritious combo fruit smoothie! We noticed that the octopus with sweet potato purè and greens was popular with fellow diners so that was a no brainer (see, that's how good news spreads quickly! . The taste of the traditional codfish stew rounded it all out with it's good old homecooking style goodness. This restaurant seems to be run very ably by a couple distinguished both by their congenitality and efficiency. The ambience resembles more someone's sitting room at home than a swanky restaurant. That and the wonderful food are MDS's biggest cachet. Price per person: €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Beets and Strawberry Gazpacho
Outstanding in every sense. Authentic, home-cooked food in a cosy and warm setting which hardly feels like a restaurant and more like the dining room of a family home. The service is welcoming, warm and very genuine and the food was excellent. This really set the tone for the rest of our trip. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €45–50

A very cozy, relaxing and nice place. Maybe not the best option for big groups, but for pairs or singles it's perfect.<br/ <br/ The menu changes every day, and the cooking was delicious. They also had a vegetarian option when I went there. The lemonade is delicious, I recommend it strongly!

What an experience from this gem of a restaurant. Innovative Portuguese kitchen that is based in tradition with a twist. It was a journey the whole way. Very good variety of hand picked wines. Do not miss this!
Located guided small restaurant near the botanical garden definitiw worth visiting. the Gastrom-pair offers a charming Portuguese restaurant with a small but fine menu. she throws the kitchen and he the service. there are 4 5 tables inside and 2 3 outside as well. it is recommended to make reservations either at 19:00 or at 21:00 after the closing of the first guests. the courts are all skillfully prepared and appeal both the eye and the palate. the menu offers fish, meat and also a vegetarian dish. the dishes are well portioned and allow a pleasant three curs meal. the wine list only carries Portuguese weine. the restaurant is guided by the couple with much love and is definitely worth visiting. give them very good.
This restaurant really deserves all the good reviews. eating is beautiful and fresh and the restaurant and the people are charming. an absolute jewel, thank you for our beautiful evening.
The best meal we've had in Lisbon. Beautiful small restaurant, the owners are warm, friendly and accommodate easily my glute free and dairy free allergies request. The rabbit was amazing and the octopus too! We are the appetizers before taking photos! Definitely coming back here on our next trip!
