Sitting outside in the narrow seating area along the cobbled streets of Alfama. Staff were really friendly and made us feel most welcome. Meat and fish’s cooked on the BBQ in front of you. I had Lucinda's Steak which w... read more As we were staying in Alfama, we visited for dinner and also to experience Fado which is a staple of Lisbon. The food was so good. I had Lucinda's Steak which was so juicy and big, which included a slice of cured ham on the side. My wife had the octopus dinner which looked and tasted amazing. The wine and local beer selection is good too. The best part was the Fado, the two gentlemen playing guitar, together with the female singer really made the evening. Recommended. We managed to get a table inside but would suggest booking.

It’s a bit h... read more We stumbled across this place while walking around Alfama area. The outdoor tables and delicious scents from the Smokey fresh BBQ grill drew us in. It’s a bit hard to find, through windy streets and steps, but it was well worth it, the perfect lunch spot. The food was simple but delicious. We had amazing clams and shrimps to start and then shared a grilled Sea Bream which was fabulous. There seemed to be a lot of both locals and tourists, and the place just had an authentic and relaxed vibe. It was perfect place to stop and sit for lunch in the area. Very reasonably priced, about 60€ for two of us. Highly recommend.

The bbq grilled food is tasty and s... read more If you have a few nights then recommend to visit down these narrow streets for an authentic gastronomy experience in Alfama. The bbq grilled food is tasty and substantial. Ribs were huge, as was Salmon, Pork fillet and Sardines also enjoyed on our visit. The music and entertainment was endearing, enthusiastic and popular. People stopped eating their food to capture on iPhones…I prefer to eat, drink and applaud after but each to their own! Hearty food and a genuine experience worth finding.
