Friendly service and in the middle of a Portugese residential area. You'll find Portugese fair, and don't be surprised if your neighbor tells you how to eat whatever it is you've ordered. We were there on St Martin's day. We were given boiled chestnuts and new wine to celebrate the new harvest. It was a lovely evening.
I had the special steak on a stone, cooked to your preference (take it off the stone when it's done! . The steak itself was delicious and not like the common thin steaks that are on offer at other places it was thick, meaty and tasty! Would have the same when, not if, i go back.
During our recent stay in Lisbon, Jubel was recommended by the owner of the apartment we rented. It was very close, so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. Even though the restaurant is in a neighborhood, and most of the customers live in the area, we were warmly welcomed. We speak only English and our waiter arrived with a menu that had English translations. We eat in Jubel twice and were very pleased with our food, service and cost. We would certainly eat there again and recommend others to give it a try.
