Indeed I wanted to try Izakaya out for a few months.. it really does have a Japanese feel to it in terms of decoration and set up..all in wood...very neat..a go... read more Indeed I wanted to try Izakaya out for a few months.. it really does have a Japanese feel to it in terms of decoration and set up..all in wood...very neat..a good copy. The food was superbly cooked..very tasty...although portions are small...but were delightful. We tried 3 different sakes...must admit..we didnt really like any if them...all were quite bitter..lacked smoothness. I would prefer if the fusion of the food was less Portuguese and more Japanese..since you clearly expect that in a place like this..slight shame..also..Japanese or Asian employees and maybe Japanese music would really make the place feel trully authentic...it has the potential to be even better... However the food was 5 stars and thats what really matters in the end.
