Ginos Barata Salgueiro - Lisboa

We were in lisboa for just 3 days and came here twice to eat! The food was delicious and the staff were lovely.

Staying at the Altis Grand nearby so had passed this place several times. On our last evening after a long day out needed somewhere handy took a chance on Ginos. Great decision! Had made a reservation as we walked to our hotel to change another good decision because it was full 40 minutes later on a Wednesday evening). Had the Fondutta Piedmontese to share as a starter good, and good value at €12.25). Then one Caprese salad and one pork cheek ragu con gnocchi as mains €11.95 15.50 respectively). A bottle of vinho Sossego at €13 completed the terrific value. With one dessert a coffee it was around sixty euros before the tip. The meal was relaxed for us) and service friendly efficient. This on an evening when there was a leak problem in the apartment block above which affected the restaurant as well. Andre and the whole team including the kitchen, obviously) did a tremendous job. Our favourite meal from our four days in Lisbon. The restaurant is probably mid way between Avenida Marquess de Pombal metro stations.

Uma ótima experiência. Chegamos a este restaurante com zero expectativas e foi incrível. Terminamos nossa lua de mel em um lugar muito despretensioso, mas ótimo. Serviço rápido e amigável e deliciosa comida italiana tradicional. Recomendamos a lasanha de espinafre e a pizza carbonara. O vinho também é delicioso e barato. A gorjeta é opcional, mas ficamos felizes em deixar uma boa. Você não vai se arrepender.

Good italian restaurant with a nice variety of dishes. Food was tasty, but could have been a bit better sometimes. Unfortunately the staff didnt understand english, so they couldnt or didnt want to open the parasols outside (the sun was pretty burning at that time)
