Lots of choices, a kind staff and soso comfortable room upstairs the typical traditional cuisine was our choice. I recomend the octopus but not the bitoque. Small steak was full of nerves.There is free parking but not close.

Part of the fun of trave... read more We had such an awesome time at this family owned restaurant! You know you’ve come to the right place when locals are regular customers. Part of the fun of traveling is meeting wonderful locals who are happy to share their culture with you despite the language barrier which we found in this gem of a place. It all started with hubby asking the table next to us what they were drinking and ended with fun “Saúde ?cheers ” together. Dont be intimidated by the stern patriarch of this joint, he really has a big heart. After chatting about his kids, we clicked with our universal concerns love for our kids. Magdelena ? , his daughter who helps out the family business surprised us with her british accent: she is gracious, kind and hospitable with a beautiful smile. And now the food… the sea bream sardines were super delicious and moist. You can tell the chef /matriarch puts a lot of love in her cooking. If you can handle spice, get her home made chili sauce. The bubbly Sangria was the best here with whole black raspberries. You really feel like part of the family eating here! Oh and we sat outside in the corner with an amazing view of Jeronimos monastery.
