Was Ariana Garcia at Doc Cod a mag?
We were a party of 18 celebrating my wife's 60th Birthday, we took the option of Menu number 6, a five course meal including a fish and meat course, the food and ambience were excellent, special mention for the steak course which was outstanding. The service from Paulo and his staff was also outstanding, I have not heard one negative comment from anybody in the group, we were made to feel special. View all feedback.

One of my favorite place with best” bacalhau “ , most tasty oysters and other dishes. Strongly recommended. Best staff
It's my very first business dining experience in the city of Lisbon, where is near by its harbor in a plaza with an unique atmosphere. Despite foods were just generally good, and space was a bit crowdy, yet waiters were very attentive; hence, we had an enjoyable night.
We wanted a good start to our holiday in Lisbon so we asked the concierge for a good seafood restaurant, he booked the 4 of us into Doc Cod. A short taxi drive, he said, which in the Uk would have been a good £30! It being Portugal 10 Euros covered it. The restaurant is right on the waterfront with good views. Our greeting was very friendly (good english too! and we got lots of good advice about the wine and the food. The service was not only informative but also efficient and friendly. The food was excellent, well cooked and well presented. The wild Sea Bass was really excellent a must if you visit this restaurant. The wine was very reasonably priced and a good choice by the waiter. Altogether a fabulous start to our holiday in Portugal.
It looks very touristy because of the location... but it’s actually a very good place to eat. We reserved a table (good idea) and were seated inside. It had the ambience of a quality resto. Our waiter took a while to bring the drinks menu but the food was excellent. The octopus was staggeringly good. The reviews here that talking about “swimming in oil” completely misunderstand southern European cooking! This is what it’s supposed to be like! Get more bread... dip... eat... Oh, and the little cheese that came with the bread and the olives, that you scoop out onto the bread with the little spoon... delish. Go for it!
