We went here for dinner, looking for grilled fish. We had a great starter of blood pudding (which was delicious if you like that sort of thing which we do). We each had a different type of fish, which was well grilled. The accompaniments left...a little to be desired, but all in all it was very good. We had a great bottle of wine; to be honest, I’ve never had a mediocre bottle of Portuguese wine. Our waiter was friendly and pleasant. Then it came time to pay. Our bill was 41.30. I paid cash and put a 100euro note. An older server, who I thought was possibly the owner took it and returned with change for a 50. I opened the folder and noticed right away and went to see him and he half smirked and didn’t say anything and turned around and went into the restaurant. Another older man came out and said sorry my friend made a mistake. It appeared to both me and my husband that he was hoping that we had had a little too much wine and weren’t familiar with the Currency and would have walked away. I’m very annoyed by this and as such, although our meal was good, I wouldn’t recommend going to this restaurant. To me, stealing, especially from another person is the worst type of act. Despicable and he should be ashamed. There are so many eateries around this area and all over Lisbon- ones full of dishonesty should fail.
