Was Carlos Matos at Canela Grill a mag?
very nice terrace near a small park in a cozy neighbor, not as crowded as the barro alto or chiado and with more locals. we had the dorhade, omlett and one of the meat plates. good, honest kitchen and very nice service. we have. the next morning breakfast there, something too expensive for what they get, but still a recomendation when they stay in the neighbourhood. What Alícia Freitas dislikes about Canela Grill:
most traveling know that when they sit in a restaurant and the server immediately brings brot, butter or oil, oliven, maybe cheese, over euro just went to the bill. if they politely say that the server takes this article away, they and they will not be loaded. on recommendation of our friend, a native, we stopped at canela grill and ordered a salad and a bottle of water. the salate were in order to write nothing abou... I was glad that we did not decide to sit outside where canela calculated an additional euro for the privilege. not worth a visit.

We have booked this restaurant after walking through the praca des flores, where it is located on a small park. it looked very pleasant and the owner manager was helpful. we were worried when we saw the small number of reviews and suggestions that the dinge were added to the bill that were not ordered etc. we do not have to worry at all, and we are still informed about why only reviews are. we ate on a Sunday evening and the place was full of a waiting queue of the people we left. they were mainly native with some tourist like us. the service was great. we had white port tonics to begin with can recommend this! the aperitifs we ran through, courses, flake wein, brand and coffee, for which I thought not badly for a firm meal with bell and whistle. two of us had the fish of the day, had salty and I had a grilled octopus salad for the net. this place is connected to the pao de canela coffee shop next door.
Nice little restaurant open in the evenings for tapas and a limited selection of mains. Like its sister restaurants around the square, the main draw is the location- the Praca das Flores square with its little playground. The Canela Grill has a couple of tables...outside, and some nice cosy tables inside. The service is friendly and attentive and the food is good. It is on the pricey side for Lisbon however, and many of the dishes and wines listed on the menu were not available on the two occasions we went.
I've been staying in the Praça das Flores neighbourhood for a week now, and every night it would smell like charcoal grill around here, but it took me a while to figure out where the smell was coming come. Today (after stopping by a few...times when it was closed) I finally managed to eat in this delicious grill restaurant. The restaurant is located on the Praça das Flores, so it has quite a nice terrace, but the interior is really pretty too. The staff were super friendly and very happy to answer all of my questions. When I didn't listen and ordered too much food anyway, they even offered to wrap the leftovers for me to take home. I had two of their tapa-style dishes (the morcela and the breaded broad beans), which were both delicious, followed by the mixed grill, which was everything I hoped it would be. Simple and very very tasty. I still have a slice of their homemade strawberry pie waiting in the fridge, but I'm pretty sure it will be fantastic as well. It sure looks fantastic. I've eaten at some more expensive restaurants in Lisbon this week, but this one easily beats them all.
