Was Mike F at Cafeteria Quadrante a mag?
We ate here after visiting the Monastery and Museum. The menu is presented on a easel, and is a mix of Italian and Japanese. The sushi seemed a bit expensive, though we weren't sure how it compared to other local restaurants. We instead ordered a pizza and fettuccine which were both tasty; the pizza was a bit large for one person. The cool temps didn't really permit us to sit out on the terrace with the great view. W... What nat1401 dislikes about Cafeteria Quadrante:
Tried to eat here and name was put on a waiting list even though there were free tables, told to come back in half an hour. When we went back we were told that there were still no tables available. Had sat and watched people being taken even though they were not on the list and all seemed to be locals. Not nice treating people like that, were told we would be waiting a further 1 1/2 hours! You can rest and enjoy a nice meal in this place. It's calm and atractive. I always go there for tea.

Had sat and watched people being taken even though they were not on the list and all seemed to be locals. Not nice treating people like that, were told we would be waiting a further 1 1/2 hours! Didn't bother as they had already wasted our time.

We enjoyed sitting inside it's well decorated, and there's a nice view of the open kitchen. Staff were friendly, and service was reasonably quick.
We got the tram to Belem to check out the cloisters, then some modern art at Berardo over the street. We then strolled across the court yard at the back of the gallery and stumbled into this Café. It's not exactly well signed. To our surprize we found they had a wonderful terrace with great views over looking the river. We ordered a Sashimi and a Norimaki from their sushi menu, and were stunned by the presentation and flavour. We asked the very friendly waitress for a recommendation for another course and she came back with the chef who then produced another equally fantastic sushi. Bill was €30 including 2 glasses of wine. Nice relaxed café atmosphere. Judging by the pictures of the interior on here from 2012 its been fully refurbished since then.
