Had dinner at nearly 10pm on a Sunday night and couldn't find a table at first . . . Lots of younger folks (20-40's) enjoying the evening. We grabbed a glass of wine and a table opened up outside. Lovely atmosphere, although it was on the street so some noise (tram 28 goes right by). Not a problem for us. Amazing freshly made pasta dishes. Def on the Return Again list.

Pizza os really nice. Spaghetti gets cold fast. Place is full of hippies. Self service. Hard to find the place because the name on the restaurant sign is different from the name on Google maps.

Walking into Café Mortara, you are immediately greeted by an atmosphere that promises an unforgettable dining adventure. Last night, I had the pleasure of sharing this experience with friends, and it was nothing short of delightful. The evening began with the starters, which are a genuine standout at Café Mortara. The selection was amazing — diverse, flavorful, and crafted from the freshest of ingredients. Every dish felt like a culinary narrative, with surprising and delightful combinations that clearly reflect the chef's expertise and passion. These starters are extraordinary, setting an incredibly high bar for the rest of the meal. As for the pizza, Café Mortara takes a bold step. The pizzas here aren't your run-of-the-mill options but rather unique interpretations of classic recipes. Our pizza was quite decent — with a crispy crust, fresh toppings, and a harmony of flavors. Although not as exceptional as the starters, these pizzas hold their own, offering the café’s signature touch of ingenuity. It's a refreshing take on an iconic dish, and their audacity is commendable. Craft Beer Selection – Now, this is where Café Mortara truly excels as a standout destination for beer enthusiasts. Boasting a vast and carefully curated selection of craft beers, this café is a haven for aficionados and novices alike. The beers are diverse, high-quality, and clearly chosen with care to complement the food offerings. Whether you’re a seasoned craft beer fan or new to the scene, you're bound to find a brew that perfectly suits your palate and elevates your meal. The ambiance of Café Mortara complements its innovative cuisine beautifully. Warm, inviting, and perfectly pitched for a friendly gathering or a romantic date night. The staff are another gem in this restaurant’s crown — attentive without being overbearing, and exceptionally knowledgeable about both the food and beer menus. Their suggestions were invaluable, gracefully guiding us through the extensive options available. Café Mortara’s commitment to originality is one of its defining features. It is a place where tradition meets innovation in the most delightful ways. This daring approach — whether in a delectable starter or a reimagined pizza — sets Café Mortara in a league of its own in a highly competitive dining scene. In conclusion, Café Mortara is more than a dining spot; it's a full-fledged experience for the senses. For anyone with an appreciation for culinary creativity paired with exceptional craft beer, it’s an absolute must-visit. Final Verdict: Highly recommended for food and craft beer enthusiasts seeking a unique and memorable experience.
