We have eaten in this restaurant 5 times during our 9-day stay here. it is a hidden gem, a real Portuguese “Tasca”, where you can eat and drink well. many Portu... read more We have eaten in this restaurant 5 times during our 9-day stay here. it is a hidden gem, a real Portuguese “Tasca”, where you can eat and drink well. many Portuguese local food there as well as tourist. eating is homemade, plentiful and very tasty. the house wine is made by the owner and it is good and yet cheap! the service is friendly but not fussy. if you are looking for fawning service this is not the place! we loved it and recommend it without hesitation!

The staff are very friendly and lots of locals come to hang out and chat. It is well worth a visit and the prices are considerably less than tourist areas.

Great honest food and drink at affordable prices, served by who appeared to be the boss, and could best described as a loveable Basil Fawlty. We thoroughly enjoyed both visits. So much so, we are going again tonight.

The grilled sardines an... read more A small place that has probably been in the area for decades. It looks like the local haunt for what Lisbon is know for — great seafood! The grilled sardines and the bacalao were superb, using only the freshest ingredients! The best part is the reasonable price for great but simple cuisine.
