We found this place by chance , the food is excellent, well cooked local dishes done well , not the usual fare served to toirists. The staff are very friendly and lots of locals come to hang out and chat. It is well worth a visit and the prices are considerably less than tourist areas.
A great local restaurant frequented by locals and the odd foreigner like us. Great honest food and drink at affordable prices, served by who appeared to be the boss, and could best described as a loveable Basil Fawlty. We thoroughly enjoyed both visits. So much so, we are going again tonight.
We had the best lunch of cod fish and salmon cooked in the Portuguese tradition. Our host was wonderful and I think is one of the owners as well. We could have stayed there all afternoon as we were treated like family.
I went to Restaurante Aviz with my Italian grandparents. Typical Portuguese dishes, really cheap, tasty.
A small place that has probably been in the area for decades. It looks like the local haunt for what Lisbon is know for — great seafood! The grilled sardines and the bacalao were superb, using only the freshest ingredients! The best part is the reasonable price for great but simple cuisine. Warm staff with a local touch added to the charm of this place! Price per person: €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
