We had a wonderful experience here our hotel was nearby; we were walking around and stumbled upon this location, a bit hidden. But I can sniff out any place that has chocolate in its name! We regrettably don't speak Portuguese and the woman working there did not speak great English but she was so lovely and patient with us as we asked questions and tried to decide. We came away with some delicious chocolates from the glass case and I also purchased amazing chocolate bars as souvenirs. The inside of the store is very pristine and it almost feels as if you are in a Chanel or Hermes store but purchasing chocolates instead. For what you receive and the quality of chocolate, I felt prices were very reasonable. Worth a stop!
Being a macaron aficianado (and having made them at home), I sought out Portugal's own Arcadia confectionery because I understood them to have these enticing little sweets. The company is based in Porto, but I went to the location in central Cascais (and there is also one on the main plaza in front of the casino on Estoril) on several occasions. They tend to have the standard flavors (vanilla, citron, chocolate) plus several fruit options (laranja/orange, raspberry, and yuzu) and, the signature for Portugal, a porto macaron. This you must try...it captures the richness of port in a delicate cookie. Yum!
Como todos os McDonald's, lugar amplo com bastante lugares e p atendimento é ok.
