A Lareira - Lisboa

We came to A Lareira after we visited the Feira da Ladra flea market on a Tuesday afternoon. The restaurant is small and is operated by an older couple and a younger server. The older owners may not know English but the young server does and she explained the menu to us in perfect English. When you see the setting of the restaurant and you will know immediately that it serves authentic Portuguese food and it is not there for the tourist. and the price is very reasonable. We ordered bacalhau and port steak. I requested salad instead of rice and fries and it was fine. The salad was seasoned with vinegar and olive oil. It is not my usual salad dressing but it tasted so good. Lettuce, onion and tomato were fresh and crisp and seasoned well. The pork steak was pan fried to golden brown. The meat was quite tender and tasty. Bacalhau was meaty and quite salty. The restaurant and meals were not fancy but satisfying.

Recommendations! Very cute place, food is excellent! Traditional Portuguese dishes. Rate 10/10......

Our Airbnb host advised us to try this restaurant as it is close to the apartment. We had a vert Nice lunch in a typical lisboa place, only with local people. Even if the room is small and simple , food was fresh and well prepared. Low price regarding quantity and quality! I like this kind or place, the boss is very nice, and his wife in the kitchen a Perfect cooker! I recommand this place.

Petit resto propret qui passe inaperçu à l'extérieur mais n'hésitez pas à vous y atabler. Accueil gentil et sympathique,cuisine portugaise authentique (nous avons mangé différentes préparations de morue avec pois chiche, pommes de terre, tomates, chou..., une excellente salade de fruits frais,vin, eau et cafés pour personnes.

The owner recommended me sardin saying trust him so I ordered it. It was the best sardin I've ever had! I couldn't stop digging to one to the other. I had 6 sardines in 10-15 min! And price was very good.
