If you are looking for authentic, traditional, fresh Portuguese food this is your place. I spent one week in Lisbon for business eating at some of the top restaurants and this was the best meal hands down. The portions are quite large and very reasonably priced. The staff made me feel like family. Special thank you to Ricardo and Lina. The passion, hard work and dedication doesn't go unnoticed. The seating area, inside and out, is quite small and simple and it does get busy with locals which is the best sign. A little hidden gem in Lisbon and I will definitely return! Thanks again for the lovely experience.

The... read more I had the pleasure of having lunch at Courense recently and truly enjoyed my meal. Food tasted delicious, fresh, huge servings and good value for the money. The server was very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this fine restaurant to anyone wanting to try traditional Portuguese food.

We chose soup of the day which was a tasty, hearty leek soup and then the dish of the day delicious cod with roast potatoes and green beans. We had two excellent desserts try the pudim flan equally excellent coffee and a bottle of good white wine. Not to mention the very good bread. All for 26 euros for two. Wonderful traditional Portuguese food served by very friendly, helpful staff. Wish I could eat there everyday.
