Yes, the menu is hand written in Portuguese but the very helpful and friendly waiter translated into English for us well. He was caring, attentive and excellent. Later we met the family owner who was charming and clearly proud of his restaurant. He encouraged real feed-back which is to his credit. We wanted a change from Bacalhau that night and had spicy pork plus tender and tasty veal. They were both great. After the meal, we were treated to some local “firewater” (aquadente) which was a very nice touch. A great Lisbon restaurant experience.

When you know this has been a family business for 21 years, you also understand they have a passion for what they do. Great experience. We will come back.
