This place will give you a taste of real Italy which is very refreshing given the many tourist traps in town. The street can be loud, and the decor is minimal. But the (sea)food is fab, and the service is very good. Try the black risotto or any pasta dish, you will not be disappointed. View all feedback.
What SandroN410 doesn't like about Trattoria A Sfiziusa:
This is the worst Restaurant in Lipari. The Antipasti were fresh out of the tin. The tuna never swam in the warm waters of the Eolian Islands fore sure and the squid has never seen the rough coast of Lipari. The Spaghetti reminded us of dog food. The fish was bland and boring. The house wine was not drinkable. The bread and the water was good though. View all feedback.

This trattoria is near the marina on a well traveleled street. So if you dine al fresco, you get a full measure of carbon monoxide. Goes well with the patrons who equate eating outdoors with a license to light up at will....and they do. That sets the stage for a meal that has to be great to overcome the environment. Well this place doesn't. Even good service doesn't make up for mediocre food.
There were 5 of us including 2 kids and the owners couldn't have done enough for us. We had some lovely authentic Sicilian dishes and it's the Pesce Sparda rolls you can't go past.... So tasty and fresh!!! Wine list is simple but does offer some good choice. Just avoid using the toilets.... Like most places, basic at best!
The title says it all, this is a typical trattoria, the best way to eat in Italy, unpretentious but very tasty and well prepared food, served with a big smile. Perfect evening for our family holiday.
At first I was little bit sceptical when I read some reviews there, but this turned out to be hidden gem! I went there twice (and i will go there today as it is my last night on Lipari). Pasta is fresh and tasty (i had sfiziusa and volcano or stromboli, well it was very hot for me, but great) and then stuffed calamaretti amazing and roasted swordfish, amazing as well. All is fresh, accompanied by the glass of house wine...just perfect dinner. They even give you little antipasto and after meal little glass of malvasia. And the prices are fair, not overpriced like other restaurants there. Good value. Service is very quick, gentle and attentive.
