Da Lauro - LIPARI

The ambience is like a wedding event with highlight lights that bright and don’t give you a romantic athmosphere, the staff isn’t professional.Food poor doesn’t represent the Sicilian temperament.No music no fun really boring feelings…this is not what we expected.

This was hands down and by far one of the best meals we had in ALL of Italy!! We were driving around all of Lipari super early in the season (1 April), and by luck found this place open we were the only folks in there but they welcomed us with open arms! The proprietor is so very sweet, and clearly proud of her cuisine! We had the best seat in the house and the whole place to ourselves! We had a truly delicious lunch with spectacular view caponata, fish rolls, tiny fried fish, app sampler, meat rolls, seafood pasta, with strawberry sfogliatella and lemon sorbetto as dessert. Everything was amazing must do in Lipari!!

We visited the restaurant twice this week as it was close to the hotel where we stayed. We had pasta and fish. The food was very good. The service was warm and inviting.

Ok you’ve travelled around the world. Caught a boat it’s stinking hot and you want a true traditional feed in Lipari. On our first night we ate at Filipinos and to be honest we were underwhelmed. This place gets top marks. Amazing view of Salina with the sun setting. Great service. Not rushed at all and food was amazing. Eat up. Good news is the exit is slightly downhill so you can roll out of here! Enjoy!
