Cabalen - Lipa

Very bad experience. We were told that our 4 year old son is free before entering and the moment I got my first bite another staff came to me and asked our head count again and told me that my son was not free. So i just told him he won't eat anyway. Upon paying them and waiting for the change another new staff came to give my change and asked the same question on how many we are in the table and how much money I gave. I don't understand why he had to ask that when giving me my change. The way they treated us made our family weekend a bad day. They have a bad service and few food options. Heck! even the dinugan was not delicious at all. This place is one of the worst resto that I have been. Very bad customer service.

Do not come here during these times. Just went today, december 2020 and only upon entry were we informed that they don't allow you to get the food yourselves like you normally do. You send them your orders instead. I don't know if they are still adjusting or what, but the orders come in very slow. It takes 30 mins before they send your next order and on top of that, the orders were never complete. They always send us just a little bit of stuff which would be good for maybe 3-4 people, but we were a group of 9! It was so not worth the price. We just got full eventually through waiting and frustration. Never coming back here. Food was atleast better than their megamall branch but the experience makes this branch much worse. Two thumbs down. What should have been a joyous family occassion was ruined thanks to them.

One of the better branch of Cabalen compared to others that I’ve been to. The food has more variety and being refilled constantly by the staff. Quick in delivering our ordered drinks. Nice ambiance. They serve the Filipino popular dishes like kare-kare, humba, grilled fish, etc. They have Filipino salad and yummy desserts.

More like home cooking, Karekare was thick flavorful.

Very poor service, overpriced, very slow to refill food on buffet.. Will never go back
