My wife and I just moved to the Haw Creek area and we were so pleased to find a wonderful Italian restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, seasoned perfectly even if I did add a little salt and pepper to my own taste, and the service was spectacular. The whole restaurant has a rustic and homey feel, much like you used to find around the country before everything went modern. This place is a must visit for local... View all feedback.
What Eric L doesn't like about Pomodoros Greek Italian Café:
My party ordered a seafood pasta, cheese pizza, chicken fingers, and fries. The seafood pasta was good, but it would have been better if more scallops, mussels, and shrimp were in it. Two scallops, five mussels, and three shrimp were not quite enough at that price point. The pizza was okay, but not stellar. The chicken fingers were overcooked, so much that the batter was dark brown and the inside was nearly dry. The... View all feedback.
Nice atmosphere and good service. The Solomos Me Lemoni was delicious. Prices were very reasonable.
It was fathers day and the day our daughter graduated from high school so we went to try somewhere new to celebrate. It started the moment we walked in the door. Hostess asks how many and when we reply with 9 she rolls her eyes and says follow me. We ordered some appetizers, they were good but our dinner, not so much. The Alfredo tasted bland, no real flavor to speak of. Just a thick heavy creamy tasteless blob. Vodka sauce was unlike a sauce but more like a sun dried tomato paste, not like any vodka sauce I have had before. Chicken Piccatta was also bland with no real flavor, and the chicken had a real funny texture. My daughter ended up after a few bites throwing it up in the bathroom. I ordered the sausage peppers and onions and that was quite good. Our desserts, cheese cake and the chocolate amaretto bread pudding both were freezer burnt. Our server, her performance was exceptional but she really did not seem thrilled to be there. I really hate leaving negative reviews but If this was my restaurant I sure would want to know what a new customers experience was like. So if you asked me if we would go back, I would say no probably not. Edited: Thank you for the response and thank you for pointing out all that I could have done for a better experience. First off when I looked you up on google it said no reservations needed. When we arrived there was no other patrons in the restaurant, we briefly had it all to ourselves. Second, my daughter was embarrassed, she didn’t say anything until we got in the car. She said it wasn’t like the chicken was bad, it just had a funky texture. Third. And I do not stand alone with this . Bland, The food was bland. Flavorless. Not lacking salt or black pepper but spices. You know the talent of a chef. This is not our first rodeo and we know how an Alfredo dish, paccatta or vodka sauce, traditionally tastes. Sorry for the couple week delay.
Food is very good and the price is very good for the quality that you receive. I have added this to my save for the next time I am in town.
We were in the area looking for somewhere close by and came across this lovely spot. A few of the reviews were a bit lackluster, but we had a mix of Greek and Italian food enthusiasts in our party and decided it looked enjoyable. Our server was so patient and personable, and we loved all of the menu options, definitely something for everyone. I fell in love with the pesto hummus, so much so that I took two orders to go. They were accomodating to my food allergies and gave me veggies instead of pita bread. The Greek and Caesar salads were so fresh and crisp. Very tasty. Our 7 year old loved her cheese pizza and the pile of fresh parm they grated for her. I got a chicken dish with goat cheese and sundried tomatoes that makes my mouth water remembering. The chicken was so light, tender, and juicy. Super flavorful. The spinach on the side was equally flavorful and a great texture. Others in our party loved their food, as well, sampling the Marsala and Tuscan Chicken dishes. This restaurant was a huge hit and we are so thrilled that we stumbled across it. Highly recommend! Dietary restrictions: They were great with my corn and wheat allergies, plenty of delicious gluten-free options. Kid-friendliness: Our server was fabulous with our active and inquisitive 7 year old. We were comfortable and felt very welcome. Lots of delish kid meal options.

Two scallops, five mussels, and three shrimp were not quite enough at that price point. The pizza was okay, but not stellar. The ambiance was above average, but not high-end. Parking: Ample parking Kid-friendliness: Safe for children, with a decent kid's menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in front and back.
