The waiter gave me (I am a 32 year old woman) extra comments when he dumped the dishes, You ate up nicely ' and when I payed the bill Oh no, nobody paid your dish? . All put in Austrian dialect at its best. There was no such comments towards my male colleagues. So yes, Austrian Wirtshauskultur at its best. Just, who wants that implied discrimination in 2020?
Ok, you need to accept to smell a bit the kitchen when you enter, if you do, then you will enjoy it. The Cordon bleu is really great, so is the Schnitzel. Salad are also very good. The place is divided in smaller rooms so you do not have the large foot-hall impression. Maybe the owner needs to do something about the kitchen ventilation to solve the smell....
Price-quality very good. The main dishes are, in my opinion, freshly prepared. you can hear how the ordered carvings and cordon bleu are freshly knocked. most salate are probably from the can.The sausage salad on the salatbar looks homemade and is very good.Who in the summer comes sitting in a shaded beer garden, but as in every beer garden should also use his beer lid as a beer lid to avoid tree herbs. The only thing that might disturb is the retaliation service. next door is the university clinic. for a rettung after too large a portition would therefore be taken care of immediately.
Perfect for a quick lunch with a nice price/quality menu of the day with main dish and dessert. I had a stew of deer which was excellent (only a bit salty.)
I have visited the restaurant "to the iron hand" countless times. in addition to good-bourgeois cuisine, seasonal dishes are also offered again and again (saving weeks, eierschwammerl dishes.) very cheap lunch menus! action days: Tuesday - bark with semmel crans, Wednesday - cordon bleu, Thursday - fresh ofenbratl at a sensational price! for me the best black roast in linz! service top!
