We were doing a Boat and Bike tour on the Danube River and one of the boat workers was born in Linz and highly recommended this place for the 'original recipe '... read more We were doing a Boat and Bike tour on the Danube River and one of the boat workers was born in Linz and highly recommended this place for the 'original recipe ' Linzer torte, a crumbly pastry with nuts and fresh fruit jams. The restaurant...has a few tables outside, on a very busy street. We sat there to 'people watch ' and were not disappointed! The prices were high, but we did enjoy our Cappuccino and cake on this relaxing afternoon on the Danube.

I ate 2 of them without problems. the chocolate and the strawberry cake were both very moist, creamy and perfect sweet. they had 4 gluten-free cakes. now nothing more than gluten-free, but when we celebrated whether they claim to be these 4 cakes to the side, away from the other cakes. Jetzt war nichts mehr als glutenfrei gekennzeichnet, aber als wir fragten, ob sie welche hätten, zeigte sie uns diese 4 Kuchen zur Seite, weg von den anderen Kuchen. Ich habe 2 davon ohne Probleme gegessen. Der Schokoladen- und der Erdbeerkuchen waren beide sehr feucht, cremig und von perfekter Süße.

The sales Person was very friendly but unable to Tell me about the baking process and wether if the glutenfree pastries were baked before the others. She then used the normals thonges to move my chosen baked good.I have an quite reactive celiac disaese and had quite a bit of a stomachache after but nothing severe, so only a contamination but no wrongly labeld ingredients.
