Take the tram from city center (use kiosk for round trip ticket or very helpful tourist office just across the main square), very inexpensive. The tram ride is impressive in itself with students of all ages getting on and off from university or lower schools. On our trip, we only saw locals. I found a piece of glass in my glass of wine which was refilled by the waiter from a jar. The piece was really big! when I showed it to the waiters they just said sorry, changed the glass and included both glasses in the cheque. Unfortunately I did not have time to ask for the manager as we had a train to Vienna.That was an awful experience and I highly recommend to avoid visiting Kirchenwirt am Postlingberg. Obviously a busy restaurant in such an iconic location but seemed very efficiently run and a table quickly came available with attentive service

Nach einem Ausflug zum Dinopark kehrten wir im Kirchenwirt ein. Service war sehr flott und Kinderfreundlich.
Super Lage, schöner Gastgarten unter Kastanienbäume, freundliches Personal.Einfach nur lecker. Hin gehen und selbst überzeugen.
Waren im März 2017 im Kirchenwirt Mittagessen. Wir aßen einen ofenfrischen Schweinebraten. Wir haben noch selten einen so guten Schweinebraten gegessen!
